(My) Secret to Cheap Warhammer

Afternoon all.

I’ve been spending too much on warhammer recently. Despite trying to do things cheaply, it’s still been happening. In the last 2 weeks I’ve bought one brand new Land Raider, one second hand Land Raider and a second had drop pod. Ouch.

Though, I did spend less than £60 for the lot, instead of the £110 it would cost brand new.

I’ve decided to share my secret with everyone!

Here it is. (or try this one if that doesn’t work)

The link above is what I use when shopping for Warhammer. It will take you to an eBay search for ‘Warhammer’, with a number of refinements and stipulations.

Firstly, it cancels out a number of words that tend to clog up Warhammer searches that I’m not personally interested in. “-bowl” gets rid of any Blood Bowl minis (I love Blood Bowl, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t like the old GW models and there’s a surprising amount of it on eBay), without hiding any Blood Angels stuff. “-rings” hide Lord of the Rings stuff, again of which there is a lot of. “-white” hides the Warhammer magazine, White Dwarf, and “-epic” hides all the Epic 40,000 stuff.

The search is set to ignore all Auctions and only display Buy It Now options. It hides all Business accounts/shops, only displaying Private sellers. Lastly, it orders it by Most Recently Listed.

What that equates too, basically, is you get a list of Warhammer being sold by normal people, arranged by newest listed. This means that you’re most likely to find the cheap deals.

If someone doesn’t fully know (or care) how much their models should sell for and instead wants to just sell them for whatever, here is where you’ll find it. Bear in mind that you’ll still see things at crazy prices, and there’s no guarantees, but this is the quickest way I’ve found to cut out all the junk and find the most bargains.

Good luck hunting!
